Introduction

The objective of this module is to;

a) present the concept of intellectual property protection and elaborate on the important issue of copyright

b) identify sources of non-copyrighted material to use when creating digital content

c) familiarize with the concepts of fair use of copyrighted material and creative commons licensing

Learning objectives:

  • name the types of intellectual property forms of protection
  • select sources of non-copyrighted material when creating digital content
  • differentiate between the various licensing models
