Description

During the lesson the teacher guides children to realize that:

• everything that surrounds us comes from soil
• 95% of the food we eat comes from soil
• soil is a living ecosystem
• soil is the source of water
• soil captures CO2 and mitigates climate change
• without organic content the organisms living in the soil die and soil becomes sand
• not many plants/foods can grow in a sandy soil
• soil risks to be extinct in 60 years
• solutions to manage soil consciously
